19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev claimed his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with former trainer Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently improved in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first trophy after the Rome competition and initial on a hard court since spring of 2023.
Victory also means the Russian has achieved 21 championships at twenty-one various tournaments.
"It's the first time I'm at a event with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is really nice," commented ranked player Medvedev.
"This victory is in honour of my child my daughter, because the first title I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, comprising in Halle previously this season.
The player's defensive approach and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had caused some to doubt if his capacity to perform at the highest level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play positively, supported by an enhanced service.
The champion came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, securing 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The pair exchanged break points in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial tour title, took control to push for a decider.
Moutet defended four early chances in a close final set before the champion won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, he secured victory with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
